An interdisciplinary initiative in formation
See the signals.
Understand
the system.
Halither brings science and technology into conversation with economics, history, philosophy and politics. A place to question assumptions, connect perspectives and turn careful thinking into useful work.
Why Halither
The world crosses disciplines.
So should we.
A model can reveal a pattern. History can explain how it formed. Economics can trace the incentives. Philosophy can ask what it means. Our understanding grows when those perspectives meet.
Halither’s first chapter centres on talks, guided workshops, reading groups and small research projects. Keep the depth of your own discipline; develop the judgement to work beyond it.
Open inquiry. Serious standards. Evidence, intellectual humility and room for thoughtful disagreement.
Behind the name
Foresight.
Judgement.
Consequences.
Halither is a modern shortening of Halitherses, the Ithacan seer in Homer’s Odyssey. He reads signs others dismiss and warns of the consequences of their actions.
Founded in May 2026.
For us, the story is a metaphor for attentive inquiry: noticing connections, challenging comfortable assumptions and thinking beyond the immediate. Our work begins with evidence and a willingness to revise our judgement.
Halither Group is our shared identity as the initiative develops across education, research and applied work.
